About Stephen Holyday
Councillor Stephen Holyday has been the City Councillor for Ward 2 – Etobicoke Centre since 2018, and previously Ward 3 – Etobicoke Centre since December 2014.
Councillor Holyday is Chair of the Etobicoke York Community Council, Chair of the City’s Audit Committee, Chair of the Service Excellence Committee and Vice Chair of the General Government Committee. Councillor Holyday is a member of the the Board of Directors of the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Board of Directors of the Canadian National Exhibition Association where he serves as a Vice-President, and the Board of Directors of Heritage Toronto.
Councillor Holyday’s past leadership roles include appointment as Deputy Mayor during his first Council term in 2017, reappointment as Deputy Mayor for the 2018 – 2022 Council term and Deputy Speaker of Council for 2022 -2023. His former roles also included the Chair of the Special Committee on Governance, Chair of the Corporations Nominating Panel, Vice Chair of the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee, Vice Chair of the Employee and Labour Relations Committee, Vice Chair of the Exhibition Place Board of Governors and he served on the Toronto Transit Commission, the Board of Directors of Toronto Hydro and the Board of Directors of the Toronto Atmospheric Fund.
